CASE STUDY - FIELD PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT PHOTOVOLTAIC TECHNOLGIES
A project having four different photovoltaic technologies, mono, multi amorphous silicon and CIGS in two different configuration, fixed mode and 2-D tracking was designed and setup at Solar Energy Research Enclave, IIT Kanpur A comparative study of their actual field performance was carried out monitoring on line 350 different parameters. Mono silicon performed better than others, thin film modules behaved better in summer and with tracker performance enhanced by 25-40%.
CASE STUDY - HIGH EFFICIENCY (>20%) AND NORMAL (15-16%) ROOF TOP SOLAR PLANT
Roof top solar power plants having 192 KWp high efficiency (>20%) and normal efficiency (15-16%) modules were installed on roof tops of institutional buildings. Both performed well and CUF of about 19% was achieved. High efficiency modules are high in wattage and less in area than normal modules, the high efficiency modules are best suited in city societies having meagre roof top areas with bigger power requirements.
50 KWp SOLAR POWER PLANT INSTALLED AT LAWRENCE SCHOOL, SANAWAR, SOLAN, HIMACHAL PRADESH
Roof top solar power plant having 50 KWp Mono Perc 370 Wp high efficiency modules was installed on tin roof of swimming pool of Lawrence School, Sanawar, District Solan Himachal Pradesh. It was a challenging project in terms of approach to roof and accessability of grid interphase. Having obtained the Safety Certificate from Chief Inspectorate, Department of Electricals, HP, plant was commissioned on 26th Oct 2020. It is giving excellent performance and client is very much satisfied with the functional and workmanship of the plant..
